(“Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”), including when you download, access, or use the Rook mobile application; visit our website or any other online properties that link to this Privacy Policy; create or use an account; submit content or otherwise interact with features of the Services; or communicate with us or engage with the Services in other related ways.
For purposes of this Policy “you” or “user” means any individual who uses the Services; “personal information” means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked to an identified or identifiable individual, as defined under applicable laws.
By accessing or using the Services, or by otherwise indicating your acceptance, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.

If included, such information is processed solely to fulfill your request and provide the requested analysis or output, and is not used for advertising, profiling, or independent purposes. We do not attempt to identify any individuals appearing in uploaded content.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit such content and that its use in connection with the Services complies with applicable law. 
We do not require you to provide sensitive personal information in order to use the Services. Any such information that may appear in user-submitted content is processed only on your behalf, in an incidental and limited manner, and is not used for analytics, advertising, or model training. You may edit or remove information you have submitted at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

When you sign in using Apple or Google, we receive from the relevant authentication provider a unique account identifier and any additional information that you authorize the provider to share with us (such as your name or email address). We do not access or store your third-party account password. Use of third-party sign-in is subject to the terms and privacy policies of the provider.

We may collect technical information about your device and your use of the Services, such as device type, operating system version, and crash or performance data, in order to maintain the security, stability, and proper functioning of the application.
d. Subscription Information
Subscriptions are processed through Apple’s in-app purchase system. We may receive and store information related to your subscription status (for example, whether your subscription is active and its expiration date) in order to provide access to subscription-based features. We do not receive or store your payment card details; all payment information is processed directly by Apple.

We process and retain certain user-submitted content and generated outputs as part of your conversation history in order to ensure continuity of analysis, preserve context between requests, and enable you to view, revisit, or continue prior interactions within the Services, where such functionality is enabled by you.
We use the information to perform our contract with you, including managing subscriptions, verifying subscription status, and providing access to paid features of the Services.
We use the information we collect to maintain the security, stability, and integrity of the Services. This includes detecting, preventing, and addressing fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, and other harmful or unlawful activity, as well as identifying and fixing errors and ensuring the proper functioning of the application.
We may use aggregated and de-identified information, as well as operational metrics, to understand how the Services are used and to improve their functionality, performance, and reliability. This does not include using user-submitted content to train artificial intelligence models.
We also use the information to provide user support and respond to your requests, including communicating with you, answering inquiries, and resolving technical or account-related issues.
Finally, we may use the information as necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests, and to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights and claims.
We process personal information only where there is a valid legal basis to do so, including where processing is necessary to perform our contract with you, to fulfill your explicit request for analysis or output, to comply with legal obligations, or for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services, provided such interests do not override your rights and freedoms.

When you upload content for analysis, such as text or screenshots, we process such content to fulfill your request, generate the corresponding output, and maintain contextual continuity across your interactions within the Services.

These providers are contractually restricted to processing the data solely in accordance with our instructions and exclusively for the purpose of providing the Services to you.
Content you upload to the Services, together with generated outputs, may be stored as part of your conversation history to support ongoing analysis, preserve context between requests, and enable you to view or continue prior interactions.
We do not attempt to identify any individuals appearing in uploaded content and do not use user-submitted content for cross-context behavioral advertising, profiling, or similar purposes.
We do not use user-submitted content to train or improve our own artificial intelligence models. Such content is processed and retained only to provide the Services to you and is not reused for independent model development purposes.

Payments and subscriptions in the Services are processed exclusively through Apple’s in-app purchase system. We do not receive or store payment card details or other payment information. We only receive limited information necessary to manage subscriptions, such as subscription status.

  • Infrastructure and hosting providers, including providers of hosting, data storage, and request delivery services, that support the operation and availability of the application;

  • Authentication providers, such as Apple and Google, in connection with the sign-in process;
  • Subscription management providers (such as RevenueCat or similar services), for the purpose of verifying subscription status and managing access to subscription-based features;
  • Legal and regulatory authorities, where disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Company, our users, or others.
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. privacy laws.

We retain personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Account Deletion
Most personal information is deleted after you delete your account or request deletion of your data, except where we are required or permitted to retain certain information for limited legal, security, or legitimate business purposes. After deletion, the information will no longer be available to you.
Please note that deleting the application from your device does not automatically delete your account or associated data.
Conversation History and User-Submitted Content
Analysis results, generated outputs, and user-submitted content (including screenshots and text) are retained as part of your conversation history for as long as your account remains active, or until such content or conversation history is deleted by you.
This retention enables continuity of analysis and contextual understanding across your interactions with the Services.
You may delete individual conversations or your entire conversation history at any time through the Services, where such functionality is available, or by requesting deletion through the contact details provided below.
Once a conversation or conversation history is deleted, the associated content and generated outputs are removed from our active systems and we cease any further processing of such content. Deleted content cannot be restored.
Residual copies may remain temporarily in backup systems as part of standard technical operations, but will not be used for any further processing and will be securely deleted in accordance with our retention practices.
Usage Data
We may retain aggregated and de-identified usage data associated with a deleted account for the purposes of maintaining the security and integrity of our systems, supporting internal business analysis, and improving the Services. Any such data is stored securely and used only for these limited purposes.
Technical Logs
Technical logs and security-related data generated through the operation of the Services are retained for a limited period necessary to ensure security, prevent abuse, and diagnose or resolve technical issues (up to 90 days), after which they are deleted or de-identified.
Anonymized Data
Even after deletion of personal information, we may retain and use anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer reasonably be used to identify you or any other individual.
You may review, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings, where such functionality is available, or by contacting us using the details provided in this Privacy Policy. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have additional rights regarding access to, correction, or deletion of your personal information, as described below.
